World Philosophy Day 2025

World Philosophy Day 2025

Since 2002, New Acropolis has joined UNESCO’s initiative by celebrating World Philosophy Day each November. We promote this observance with the conviction that engaging with universal thought is the best strategy for understanding ourselves and strengthening our bonds with others.

Lúcia Helena Galvão gave a lecture in Fortaleza (Brazil) titled "Stoic Agenda: A Guide for Adversity," attended by over 1,100 people.
In London (United Kingdom), New Acropolis organized an impromptu philosophical activity involving the public.

Through a wide array of activities, our educational programs demonstrate how the wisdom of the great masters offers relevant solutions to the challenges faced by contemporary societies. We emphasize a philosophy accessible to everyone—understood not merely as theory, but as an attitude toward life and a true art of living.

As part of the "Philo Tour" project—which combines philosophy, culture, and travel—New Acropolis Cyprus organized a visit to several archaeological sites.
A philosophical discussion—accompanied by a glass of wine—was held in Sofia (Bulgaria), focusing on the Platonic archetype of Justice and its application in real life.
A lecture titled "Buddhism vs. Stoicism" was held in Málaga (Spain) to mark World Philosophy Day.
To mark World Philosophy Day, an exhibition titled "World Philosophy Day: Universal Philosophical Messages from Yesterday and Today" was held in Tokyo (Japan).
