Volunteerism

The culture of volunteering forms part of the humanistic- philosophical project promoted by New Acropolis and arises from a deep-rooted solidarity with and commitment to the problems and needs of our time. Volunteering is the natural expression of a spirit of union with life and humanity, which manifests in the practice of values such as unselfishness, commitment and striving for the common good.

New Acropolis fosters the creation of volunteer projects and groups around the world on a local and international basis. It also promotes cooperation with public or private voluntary organizations in different fields, such as GEA, UNICEF, Manos Unidas, Red Cross, etc.

Volunteering

New Acropolis offers a space to the society where values as solidarity, tolerance and responsibility are constructed, so they result in good practices, both civil and human. The culture of Volunteering is part of the philosophical training that New Acropolis promotes. By of the voluntary work, the members and NA's sympathizers express their social commitment through humanitarian actions, social and educational projects (for the neediest, the elders, etc.), ecological activities and restoration of the patrimony, organized by the association itself or in collaboration with other organizations, and numerous international NGO.

The transforming vocation of the Philosophy promoted by New Acropolis has in its programs of voluntary work one of the signs of its identity, with a very notable increase in the recently years. That’s why we rely on sometimes with the collaboration of the Groups of Active Ecology (GAE) created in many countries to give coverage to these actions with an agile organization that allows the quickest performance in emergency cases. In the programs designed by the IONA, training of the volunteers, both in their ethical aspects, and technical and specializing receives special attention and care.
